Dear Patricia Ann,
opportunity to thank you so much for the work and services that you are offering to the people.
Having read the aims and goals of this Organization I hereby accept to take on this role to work with you for the betterment of the lives of the people.
With what this world is going through, I greatly agree with you that developing strategic partnerships so that we join hands together is the way we can manage to see a better world for everyone. One person cannot make it but together we can.
You are one person I have come to know in my life who has the people at heart and working with a person of your kind is an honor.
I will be so grateful to see that together we make a change.
Thank you so much for your work and am more than willing to continue working with you for the betterment of the lives of the people.
Yours faithfully,
Joseph Lukwago
DIRECTOR JOY FOR HUMANITY
Joseph, whom Pat was
introduced through Burt from ABC4ALL.net is a loving , kind hearted young
man, whom Pat adopted as a younger brother from the first day on as Joseph and
Pat shares the same vision .
Joseph Lukwago is acting Director of Kyazanga Modern Primary school after the
abrupt sickness which the Managing Director Ssentongo Eugenio suffered which
resulted in the Doctors advising the family to keep him away from any work so
that he can recover properly
Joseph Lukwago is the first born of this family that started Kyazanga Modern
Primary School which was started to assist in educating school going children in
the community.

With the managing Director on bed rest and away from any activity its now the
struggle of Joseph and his mother Suzan Ssentongo to see that the activities of the
school continue running as they have been before.
As any school term in Kyazanga Modern Primary School there has to be one
important Visiting Day (VD) when parents, relatives, local leaders and other
school well wishers visit the school to see the progress and other activities taking
place at the school.
This first term’s VD was held on the 2nd, April 2006 and was officiated by Joseph
Lukwago who in the absence of the Managing Director from work has to make
sure that the school continues to operate so that it continues to fulfill its objectives
to the community.
In his speech to the visitors, Joseph thanked the teachers and other staff members
who have adhered to the situation and continued to perform their duties even in
the absence of the Managing Director.
He also told the parents that God who stared the good work for the community
will remove move any obstacle so that the school continues to function normally
even without the Managing Director unable to get involved in the day to day
activities of the school until he gets well.
He kindly requested all the local leaders and other school well wishers to always
clean up his tears whenever he cries on to them in things that may fail to be
accomplished by him and his mother.
He further informed the visitors about the registration of a community based
organization Joy for Humanity which is in place to see that life of the community
people is transformed.
Joseph amused the visitors when he gave out a gift to one visitor who managed to
give the right answer of date, month and year when Kyazanga Modern Primary
School officially started.
Most visitors couldn’t get the answer until one parent finally gave the answer as
9th, February, 1998 who was handed over the gift by the Local Council III
Chairman.
He told the parents that because of this he is determined to do all he can to see that
as he celebrates his Birthday the school also grows with him for the benefit of the
community.
This date surprised everybody and most visitors concluded that it was God’s
arrangement to see that this school officially started on Joseph’s Birthday.
He concluded his speech by giving them a phrase which is also the motto for Joy
for Humanity that “Together with God’s help we can change our community”.
JOE : Can working as individuals enable us to change this world?
Idon't think we can achieve it as required. We can really solve this problem by
developing strategic partnerships. We can join hands to care for the parentless
and disadvantaged children and other deprived people in communities.
If we are to make a difference to the world, we have to join hands and work
together for a common good so that we share knowledge by having free flow of
information, pull together all that we can, be stronger so that we get the job done.
For readers of the Bible, In John 5:1-11 there is information about the miraculous
catch of fish.
When the disciple fishermen had done what Jesus had told them, they caught such
a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they motioned to their
partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both
boats so full that they began to sink.
The Lord gave the disciple fishermen such a huge catch, and the only way they
could bring it in was by a partnership.
AIDS has run a ruthless rampage in Africa. So many have died. So many children
have been left orphaned and vulnerable. So many people have suffered?
And with each devastating loss, Africa collectively cries out, "Who then will look
after our children?"
Many countries especially in Africa are famous for violence and poverty and many
people have endured so much with many corrupt and oppressive people who
have waged ruthless wars against them.
One of the critical components in developing a solution for caring for the
disadvantaged children and other deprived community people is to begin to work
together.
The Bible also teaches in James 1:27 that:
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after
orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by
the world."
God's compassion for the poor, the hurting, the refugee, the desperate, lonely
abandoned child or widow is a reflection of who He is. He really does genuinely
care and seeks a solution to their dilemma.
His solution is to ask us, his people to do it for Him. He is the Father of the
fatherless. He is the husband to the widow and He is the provider of every need.
In His wisdom and sovereignty he has chosen to call us to do this for Him. He
enables us and provides for us so that we can reach out to those in need for Him.
Whatever we do for one of these we do for Him.
We must enter into community life clothed with Love. We must engage with the
community practically to bring Hope, Joy, Healing and Life.
